A WARM WELCOME TO EVERYONE – our church has something for all ages and activities go on throughout the week. Large print copies of the order of service are available. If you’re a visitor, please sign our Visitors Book in the Vestibule. Please join us in the hall afterwards for tea/coffee served in aid of the BIBLE SOCIETY.
PRAYER – Come, Advent God, and complete the special work of love which you began in Jesus of Nazareth. Many are cast down with spiritual needs, thirsting for the peace of your forgiveness and the warmth of your healing love. Come to them with the grace they desperately need. At evening or midnight, morning or midday, Come, Lord Jesus. AMEN.
GIFT SUNDAY – we again donate to Church House selection boxes & toiletries suitable for young girls. Your continued support for this is much appreciated.
KIRK SESSION – the Kirk Session will meet briefly on Sunday 11 December after the Service of Lessons and Carols.
WHAT’S ON DURING DECEMBER
WILLIAMWOOD SINGERS – Thursday 8th December at 7:30pm – please join us in our “Songs of Joy” a celebration of Christmas. Invitations available from the events team, Norah & the Singers. A suggested donation of £4 is welcome.
LESSONS & CAROLS – Sunday 11 December at 11:00am – our choir tell the Christmas story through music with bible readings by members of the congregation
MAKE WAY FOR CHRISTMAS – Sunday 11 December at 7:00pm – singers from our Church present an upbeat, modern and relevant version of the Christmas Story – everyone is welcome – contemporary music and hymns to suit all ages.
NATIVITY SERVICE – Sunday 18 December at 11:00am – the Sunday School take the service with their Nativity Play –come along and see our children at their best!
CAROLS BY CANDLELIGHT – Sunday 18 December at 4:00pm – A Family Service of favourite Carols by Candlelight (or torch).
CHRISTMAS EVE SERVICES
6:30pm – Carols round the Crib – children visit the crib and help the minister tell the story of Jesus’ birth
11:15pm – Carol Singing
11:30pm – The Watch night Service
CHRISTMAS DAY – an informal service at 10:00am
EASTWOODHILL SERVICE – takes place today at 2:30pm. If you can, please come along and support our Christmas visit.
LIFE & WORK and INSPIRE – are available for collection in the usual places for distributors and those who collect their own magazines.
FAIRTRADE – the 1st Sunday stall will be in the hall after this service. Please browse the goods on sale.
WORSHIP ON THE WEB – our morning services can now be heard online at http://www.williamwoodparishchurch.org.uk and click on “Worship on demand” – please pass this onto anyone who cannot join us in person on Sundays.
TEA & COFFEE ROTA – organisations please note the new rota for 2012 is now available in the Kitchen – please chose some dates to serve tea after church.
CHURCH NOTICE BOARDS – are for the use of our Organisations & regular users of the premises. All other literature should be given to the Session Clerk/Minister. Do not place notices on glass doors or windows.
DOORS OPEN – Looking for Peace? Looking for a quiet space, time to pray, or a friendly chat over a cuppa? Our Church and Iona Chapel are open for visitors each weekday morning from 10 o’clock until 11:45am.
